EVERY MEMBER A DISCIPLE MAKER
In our current Adult Sunday School study, we are being taught by David Platt in a series called “Faith Family”. In essence, this study is about the church as the corporate body of Christ, and the necessity of each individual member the be active as parts of the body. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) In the first weeks we have been taught that biblically, followers of Christ are church members, and that the church is not an audience of spectators; we are a fellowship of disciple makers.
This is all available free at the following website so that even those not able to attend the Sunday School time can involve themselves in this study.
Here, if you click on the downloads, you can watch the videos, and you can download additional resources.
Part of the study is answering questions which are meant to help us focus on and plan on elements of becoming disciple makers. In our Sunday School time, we will be taking time to answer these questions, and discuss our answers with others. David Platt suggests this to help us make goals and meet them.
In “Additional Downloads” you can find the file “Personal_Disciple_Making_Plan_Final.pdf”. The first two pages describe the reasoning behind the questions. The rest of the pages allow you to fill in answers to the questions.
If you are attending Sunday School, you will be able to work with this resource and prepare for discussion of the questions. If not, you are invited to join in this exercise!
